- Start: Mill in the open-air museum in Bad Zwischenahn, Am Hogen Hagen 5
- Destination: Schlosswall, Oldenburg (large intersection at Schlossteich)
The 5th stage begins in Bad Zwischenahn, directly at Zwischenahner Meer at the mill in the open-air museum. You continue walking along the lake and pass the minigolf course. You leave the Zwischenahner Meer behind and turn into Weethornweg shortly before the Rügenwalder Mühle. Take the short detour to the Rügenwalder Mühle and include this sight; it is only a few meters away. Then your hike continues on Weethornweg. You walk through the green Ammerland park landscape, enjoy the fields and meadows, and occasionally encounter small villages. After leaving Kayhausen and Kayhauserfeld behind, a longer section follows alongside the railway tracks. After a few kilometers, you walk past Woldsee and the Drögen-Hasen-Teich. Then you leave the track at the rails and hike through the flora and fauna area Haaren. Next to you flows the Haaren, which you follow and walk in the greenery before it becomes more urban. Now you pass by the University of Oldenburg and continue walking towards the city center. You reach and cross the Dobbenwiesen, next to you is the Dobbenteich/ Kaiserteich. You walk past the parliament of the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg as well as the Theodor-Tantzen-Platz. Then you continue past Cäcilienplatz and the powder tower at Schlosswall, on the other side you see Schlossteich with the large park area. At the large intersection of Schlosswall, Paradewall, and Damm, you have reached the stage’s endpoint.

- "Old Landtag" of the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg as well as at Theodor-Tantzen-Platz: The “Old Landtag” was inaugurated on November 9, 1916. Today, the Oldenburg Police Directorate manages this building. The parliament building and the state ministry next to it are historical government buildings. Both buildings were built between 1912 and 1916 on behalf of the then existing Grand Duchy with help from architect Paul Bonatz. The square where the buildings stand is Theodor-Tantzen-Platz, named after Theodor Tantzen, the first minister president of the Free State of Oldenburg, founded after World War I. Info here.

The Oldenburg City Museum offers young artists the opportunity to present their ceramic works here. More info here.
- Schlossteich: The Schlossteich was originally part of the defensive moats.
