The local history museum can be found in the center of the municipality of Wiefelstede, on the main street of the old church village in Lower Saxony's Ammerland. In rapid succession, it offers visitors exhibitions on the following areas: - cultural history - everyday history and regional artistic creation. An additional museum area is under construction, in which the history of the village's farming communities is shown in permanent exhibitions. In addition to the blacksmith's shop, wheelwright and joinery, the museum will soon also show you a shoemaker's workshop, a hairdressing salon, a bakery and a grocery store. All come from the village area and show the technical status of the 1920s and 1930s - the early years of electrification. Group tour possible. Prior registration is required.
